Greetings from the Biergarten at Old World Huntington Beach – Home of OC’s Original Oktoberfest!

The Biergarten at Old World Huntington Beach is seeking experienced and professional shot girls for OC’s Original Oktoberfest, a 2-month long party featuring bands from Germany, imported beers, and delicious German food! We have been hosting this event for over 4 decades and pride ourselves in being the best Oktoberfest in Orange County. 

If you think you’d look good in a dirndl or lederhosen, join our high-energy team that delivers excellence on a nightly basis. We are looking for OC’s best girls – high-energy, guest-first attitude team players! Oktoberfest will be Sept. 8th through Nov. 3rd.

Description

1. Ensure every guest is having an enjoyable and memorable experience at Oktoberfest.
2. All guests are to be served to Biergarten expectations and the Steps of Service for Cocktail Servers are followed.
3. Interacting with customers by selling them shots, making recommendations, providing them with accurate bills, processing payments, and supplying them with their requests in a timely manner.
4. Processing all payments in accordance with Biergarten policies. This includes cash handling.
5. It is the responsibility of the cocktail server to inquire with Management as to what pricing they are able to sell shots for. What discount, if any, is available.
6. Handling multiple tables and tasks in an efficient manner.
7. Maintaining clean and presentable tables and work area- minimal trash and empty glassware on tables during service hours.
8. Always keep a positive work attitude and friendly (approachable) demeanor with the ability to work well with coworkers and as a team when necessary.
9. During business hours, a cocktail server is never to be out of their section for more than 2 minutes at a time. The only time out of their section should be to pick up a new tray or use the restroom.
10. Maintain a polished professional appearance in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
11. Inform management of any additional resources needed. If overwhelmed and cannot give service to expectation, ask for assistance.
12. Immediately report any maintenance, security, and/or safety issues or concerns to a manager or security guard.
13. If a cocktail server at any time feels as though they are being harassed by a guest or group that is displaying offensive language or gestures, the server must let Management and/or security know immediately as it is not taken lightly. Management will address the issue immediately and remedy as seen fit. 
14. Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and client
15. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
16. Proactive and anticipate the needs of coworkers around them that may need
17. Ability to have extensive knowledge on the beverages we offer on the menu and the mastery of the food menu in order to guide guests towards choices that are best for them
18. Mechanical in execution uses organized steps of service to ensure order accuracy and consistency even in the busiest of times
19. Build rapport with guests in order to increase repeat clientele
20. Attend local events and promote Oktoberfest.

Qualifications

1. Exhibit strong multitasking abilities
2. Possess a diligent work ethic
3. Maintain a clean and professional appearance
4. Personality!
5. Display the ability to forecast and anticipate the needs of our guests
6. Knowledge in shots served
7. Knowledge of the business and Oktoberfest is a plus!
8. Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
9. Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts in heels.
10. No experience required!
11. Flexible schedule is a plus
12. Possibility of hire after the Oktoberfest season
13. Someone who can sell, sell, sell!
